In line with efforts to boost bilateral ties:
South Korean Ambassador to Tehran in Taekwondo House
The South Korean Ambassador to Tehran has paid a visit to the Tehran World Taekwondo center.
The meeting took place on Friday (March 1, 2013) in the Iranian Taekwondo Federation. The South Korean Ambassador to Tehran also visited some classes of the center, lauding the performance of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation.
He also reiterated that the fact that Taekwondo has turned into an academic major in Iran is a great measure, and displays how important the sport is for the Iranian officials.
The South Korean Ambassador to Tehran also highlighted the role of Taekwondo in promoting Iran-South Korea ties.
At the end of the one-hour long meeting, President of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation granted the South Korean Ambassador to Tehran an honorary 7th Dan.
