108 Taekwondo Athletes are going to compete in 1st Korean Ambassador's Cup
The head of the competitions committee, Seyed Hossein Zeinal Hosseini said: 108 Taekwondo Athletes from 26 provinces are going to compete in 1st Korean Ambassador's Cup which is organized with the cooperation of I.R. Iran Taekwondo federation, the Embassy of South Korea in Tehran and LG Company. This event will be held in the Taekwondo House on 23 Oct. on the occasion of 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of Iran and South Korea. Each team will participate with 4 male athletes and 3 technical officials and the competitions will be held in the 4 Olympic weight categories. Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar, the Ambassador of South Korea, technical officials, coaches, heads of the teams and taekwondo athletes will be present in the opening ceremony that will be held on 23 October from 4 to 5 P.M. Zeinal added: the teams are going to be registered and weighed the day before the competitions. The winners of the first to third places will receive precious gifts from LG, the sponsor of this event, and the three top teams will receive trophies from the organizing committee.
