Mardani: Manchester is the first Step towards Olympic Games in Brazil
Sajad Mardani, the athlete of 4th weight category, said: Olympic Games have already started for us and the first step towards entering Rio 2016 is participation in 1st Grand Prix, Manchester and gaining 80 Olympic ranking points.
1st Grand Prix will be held between 13-15 December in Manchester in the Olympic weight categories. Hadi Mostean, Meisam Bagheri, Mohammad Bagheri Motamed, Alireza Nasr Azadani, Behnam Asbaghi, Farzad Abdollahi, Hossein Tajik and Sajad Mardani will be the representatives of Iran in this significant event under the supervision of Bijan Moghanlou and Hadi Afshar.
Before setting off to Manchester, Sajad, the Medal winner of 2013 World Championships, said:
"After the World Championships, I could rest for a month and then the camp of the National team began. We had efficient training sessions in our preparation camp and are completely ready for the Grand Prix. 32 top athletes from each weight category will compete in this event and I almost know my rivals in 4th weight category. I have the first competition among the representatives of Iran and try to do my best to win and boost the morale of the other Iranian athletes.
