Mardani won the Bronze Medal
1st Grand Prix 2014 started in Suzhou, China on 4 July 2014.
236 high ranked athletes participated in this G4 event from 57 countries to collect Olympic ranking points and receive direct quota to Olympic Games 2016.
Sjad Mardani, +80 kg, defeated his Russian rival in the preliminary round 12-8. In his second competition, Sajad could overcome the representative of Italy 5-1. He outperformed the French athlete 13-8 in his 3rd fight.
He was finally beaten by the representative of Gabon and succeeded in winning the Bronze Medal. Totally, 30 athletes competed in the 4th Olympic weight category.
