Mardani and Asbaghi, Iran's Medal Winners in the Grand Prix
Iran delegation succeeded in winning 2 medals by Mardani and Asbaghi in the Grand Prix, Suzhou.
236 participants from 56 countries participated in this event which was held on 4-6 June 2014.
The contestants that seized the first standing achieved 40 ranking points and 5000 USD cash prize. The ones who stood on the second place gained 24 ranking points and 3000 USD cash prize and third place athletes achieved 14.4 ranking points and 1000 USD cash prize.
On the first day of this event, Sajad Mardani could gain the Bronze Medal after defeating representatives of Russia, Italy and France. On the third day, Behnam Asbaghi also succeeded in winning a Bronze medal by overcoming his rivals from Vietnam, England and USA.
Other Iranian representatives could not achieve medals in this event.
