Postponement of the 1st WTF World Deaf-Taekwondo Championships
The organizer of the 1st WTF World Deaf-Taekwondo Championships informed the WTF that it cannot host the Championships mainly due to financial situation.
Given that the organization of the inaugural event requires not only sufficient budget but also substantial administrative preparations and effective promotion, it was decided that this inaugural WTF Deaf-Taekwondo Championships is now postponed and will be rescheduled for next year to secure ample time of preparations. This decision will also help associations to prepare the participation with sufficient time and budget.
It is strong will of the WTF to ensure successful launching of this important event, and it is hoped that many associations will be interested in hosting the event when the bid is reopened.
