YOG Ambassadors

The YOG Ambassadors for Nanjing 2014 are Chad le Clos and Michelle Wie.

Chad experienced success at the London 2012 Olympic Games and, by his own admission; his experience at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in 2010 helped him when it came to preparing for London.

USA golf sensation Michelle Wie has put her full swing behind The Games from the beginning and is a big supporter of golf on the Olympic program.
Athlete Role Models are selected by the 28 International Federations whose sports will be featured at Nanjing 2014, the list of Athlete Role Models features many legendary names from the world of sport, including Olympic and world champions. In Nanjing, they will play a key role in supporting, mentoring and offering advice to the 3,800 young athletes who will be participating in the Games.
There will also be Young Ambassadors on hand. The eclectic list features active athletes, including Olympians and YOG alumni, sports coaches, students and young professionals, all aged between 18 and 25 . Despite coming from all walks of life, the Young Ambassadors, who were nominated by their National Olympic Committees, have one thing in common - a desire to live by the Olympic values, and to inspire and empower young people to do the same.
