CISM World Taekwando Contests- Tehran
Khodabande received second gold medal for Iran
Following the 22nd CISM World Taekwando Contests which stated from the Saturday morning, Akram Khodabande from Iran won the second gold for Iran. According to the Public Relations Headquarter of the CISM contests, these contests have been hosted by Ministry of Defense and Logistics of I.R. of Iran in association with Iran's Taekwando Federation in Taekwando House in Tehran.
41 contestants from countries such as China, Brazil, Sri lanka, Belarus, Colombia, Iran, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Russia are involved in the contest, where Akram Khodabande from Iran in the final of +73 kg met "Goava" from China and in an amazing and attractive contest Ms. Khodabande defeated her Chinese contestant 10 to 9 and received Iran's second gold medal. Prior to this match Ms. Khodabande defeated Kazakhstan 7 to 2. In this weight Brazilian participant got bronze. it should be mentioned that before this medal Iranian team received a gold medal by Fatemeh Roohani and three bronze medals by Fateme Shabannia, Sepideh Safari and Haniye Akhlaqi.
