Dr. Choue's Message of Congratulation
I send you my warmest greetings from the World Taekwondo Federation.
First of all, I would like to thank you for all your support for our sport before and during the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games. With your support, taekwondo competitions were held with resounding success.
Taekwondo's universality was clearly demonstrated again by the medal distribution with 22 NOCs sharing 40 medals, and your NOC is one of the 22 NOCs that enjoyed the moment of glory on the victory podium. In particular, it is significant to note that the Iranian female athletes have made remarkable improvement. This is a great demonstration of the strength of taekwondo in realizing gender equity.
I wish to extend my sincere congratulations to your NOC and national taekwondo federation on outstanding achievements. Your athletes and officials deserve this results after years of hard training and competitions.
We are optimistic that the Rio 2016 Olympic Games will prove to be an even more outstanding platform for celebrating the sport of taekwondo. I look forward to your continued support leading up to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
