International Day of Taekwondo
Twenty years ago, on September 4, 1994, the International Olympic Committee, during its meeting in Paris, France, decided to includeTaekwondo as an official sport in the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000.
That is why September 4 was instituted as the “International Day of Taekwondo”.
Taekwondo pursues a harmonious growth and improvement of life with its unique activities. This is the reason why we can say that Taekwondo is a way of life. Through its philosophy and principles, Taekwondo has transcended all over the world, crossing borders and connecting people and cultures, regardless of race or religion. Training every day in search of a goal, sacrificing important things searching for a dream, make Taekwondo not only a sport, but a passion.
