Taekwondo Stars Coming Together in Manchester
Third series of Grand Prix will open in Manchester on 24 October 2014 and features 4 Olympic weight categories.
Iran's National team which is composed of 7 male athletes set off to Manchester on 21 Oct.
Top 31 athletes of Olympic rankings have been invited to this event. The first winner of each category will receive 40 points and 5000 USD, the Silver medalist achieves 24 points and 3000 USD and the Bronze medalist gains 14.4 and 1000 USD.
Hadi Mostean, Farzan Ashourzadeh, Mohammad Bagheri Motamed, Behnam Asbaghi, Mahdi Khodabakhshi, Masoud Hajizavareh and Sajad Mardani are Iran's representatives in this event.
Bijan Moghanlou accompanies the team as head coach, and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi as coaches.
Sajad Mardani will compete on the first day in +80 kg. On the second day, Farzan Ashourzadeh, Hadi Mostean, Mahdi Khodabakhshi and Masoud Hajizavareh will compete and the representatives of Iran on the third day of Grand Prix are Behanm Asbaghi and Mohammad Bagheri Motamed.
Totally, the third edition of Grand Prix has brought 199 athletes together.
