WTF President Makes Presentation for IPC Governing Board Members in Berlin
WTF President Chungwon Choue made a presentation on the WTF’s ceaseless efforts for taekwondo’s inclusion in the official program of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games, together with other WTF officials, for members of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Governing Board at the Hotel Scandic Berlin Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany on Oct. 5, 2014.
The IPC is to announce its final decision on the official program of the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games at its Governing Board meeting in late January or early February next year in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
In March this year, para-taekwondo and para-badminton were shortlisted for inclusion in the 2020 Paralympic program.
The WTF hosted the 5th WTF World Para-Taekwondo Championships on June 21-22, 2014 in Moscow, Russia, drawing a total of 111 para-athletes from a record 37 countries.
