Iran Delegation Won 9 Medals in 2015 Universiade
Iran delegation succeeded in winning 5 Gold medals, 1 Silver medal and 3 Bronze medals in 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, Korea.
Iran won the second place with 21 athletes, while Korea claimed the title and the third place went to China.
In the male category, the representatives of Iran won 4 Gold medals and 2 Bronze medals. Armin Hadipour, Ahmad Khosrofar, Saied Rajabi and Omid Amidi seized Gold medals, and Javad Amiri and Mehran Askari grabbed Bronze medals.
Nemat Khalifeh and Reza Imanzadeh accompanied the male team as head coach and coach.
In the female category, Akram Khodabandeh won the first Gold medal of Univesiade in the history of Iran’s Taekwondo in +73 kg.
Minoo Maddah accompanied the female team as head coach.
In the Poomsae category Mahdi Jamali won a Silver medal in the individual competitions and Marjan Salahshouri, Fatemeh Ghasemi and Bahareh Naderian stood on the second place in the team events.
Ahmad Akhlaghi lead the Poomsae male team and Fatemeh Asadpour lead the Poomsae female team in 28th Universiade.
