Korea Open Concluded with 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze for Iran
Iran delegation succeeded in winning 3 medals in Korea Open which was a G-2 event and was held in Chuncheon on 22-27 July.
On the first day of this Tournament, Armin Hadipour grabbed the Gold medal of -54 kg after overcoming 2 representatives from Korea and 1 athlete from Philippines. In quarter final, he won the Korean opponent 19-4.
In semi-final, Hadipour beat Philippines 19-7 and in his last fight, he defeated Korea 21-9 and added 20 points to his Olympic rankings.
Omid Amidi, -87 kg, entered the final round after 4 wins. He had to settle for the Silver after being overpowered by Jasur Baykuziyev from Uzbekistan 9-5. He could add 12 points to his Olympic rankings with this result.
Alireza Nasrazadani also won the Bronze medal of -87 kg with 4 wins and added 7.2 points to his Olympic rankings.
Bijan Moghanlou led the team as head coach and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi accompanied the team as coaches.
