1st Taekwondo Family Competitions
1st Taekwondo Family Competitions was held on 13 August 2015 in Taekwondo House, Tehran.
21 families from 13 provinces of Iran participated in this event and 5 best ranked families received precious prizes at the end.
1st Taekwondo Family Competitions, suggested by Iran Taekwondo Federation, was held for the first time in the World with the goal of creating happiness and hope among family members through sport and fortifying the foundation of families.
The famous TV host specialized in family programs, Masoud Roshanpajouh, performed this event which was held with the support of South Korean Embassy and LG Corporation.
Participating families competed in 5 sections: Poomsae Pair, Poomsae Team, Individual Freestyle, Kyokpa and Oral Test (including sport and medical questions). Each team had the opportunity to collect totally 100 points according to the following: 1. Poomsae Pair: 20 points 2. Poomsae Team: 20 points 3. Individual Freestyle: 20 points 4. Kyokpa: 20 points 5. Oral Test: 20 points
In the conclusion, Mousania family (including father, daughter and son) from Alborz won the first standing with 87 points.
The second place went to Mardani family (including sister, brother, 2 nieces and a nephew) from Isfahan with 66 points. Jahed Family (including father, daughter and son) from Tehran stood on the third place with 57 points.
Khoshkholgh family (including father son and daughter) from Gilan got the fourth place and the fifth place went to Karami family (including father and 2 daughters) from Tehran with 37 and 36 points respectively.
The President of Iran Taekwondo Federation, the Management Board of Iran Taekwondo Federation, the Authorities of Sport and Youth Ministry, Representative of Iran President, Ambassador, Minister and cultural advisior of South Korean Embassy in Iran and LG representatives were present in the venue to watch the competitions.
Totally, 21 families participated in 1st Taekwondo Family Competitions from 13 provinces: Isfahan, Ardebil, Alborz, Boushehr, Tehran, Gilan, Lorestan, Golestan, Zanjan, Kordestan, Sistan and Balouchestan, South Khorasan and Kermanshah.
