Iran Gained 4 Medals in GP, Manchester
The representatives of Iran succeeded in winning 4 medals in GP, Manchester. This G-4 event that was held on 16-18 October brought 227 athletes from 56 countries together.
Abolfazl Yaghoubi bagged a Silver for Iran, while Farzan Ashourzadeh, Mahdi Khodabakhshi and Omid Amidi won Bronze medals.
Armin Haipour, Behnam Asbaghi and Sajad Mardani had no achievements in this event.
Iran was the only country that could have medal winners in all 4 Olympic male categories. Bijan Moghanlou led the male team as head coach and Mahdi Bibak and Mehrdad Yousefi accompanied the team as coaches.
In the female category, Kimia Alizadeh and Shokraneh Izadi could not win any medals. Minoo Madah accompanied the female team as head coach. The final GP which is the last event in which athletes can gain Olympic ranking points to gain direct Olympic quota is a G-8 event that will be held in December 2015 in Mexico.
