Meat Contamination in Mexico
According to WTF notice, a majority of the players tested in Sport Events held in Mexico had traces of Clenbuterol in their bodies because they ate contaminated meat.
The fact that Clenbuterol ¬exhibits anabolic effects, especially at high doses of the drug, has also led to abuses of the substance in the area of meat production.
In these days, Clenbuterol represent a serious threat for athletes of all sports.
Also in Taekwondo events, in the last 4 years has been registered many cases of positive anti-doping results for the presence of Clenbuterol in the urine.
For this reason, WTF strongly recommends to all athletes involved in the 2015 WTF World Grand-Prix Final & 2015 World Cup Taekwondo Team Championships, not to eat meat in Mexico in order to eliminate the risk of Clenbuterol contamination and protect their health.
