Beginning of the Camp of Asian Championships
Preparation camp of 22nd Asian Championships began on 2 March 2016 in the National Olympic Academy. The following athletes could enter the camp after the first Qualification Tournament was held on 29 February and 1 March in Taekwondo House:
Mahdi Eshaghi, Javad Amiri, Hadi Tiranvalipour, Mirhashem Hosseini, Alireza Aliyari, Ali Pakdin, Seyed Ahmad Khosrofar, Saeid Rajabi, Pouria Erfanian, Siavash Fakhraie, Farshad Ghiasi and Hossein Ghorbanzadeh.
Armin Hadipour, Abolfazl Yaghoubi, Behnam Asbaghi and Omid Amidi were invited to the camp before the Qualification Tournament.
Seyed Nemat Khalifeh is going to lead Iran National team in 22nd Asian Championships as head coach and Payam Khanlarkhani will accompany the team as coach.
Iran National team could win the title of 21st Asian Championships which was held in Uzbekistan in 2014 with 3 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze medal.
