Kimia Alizadeh won the Quota of the Olympic Games



Kimia Alizadeh could win the quota of Rio 2016 Olympic Games after seizing the Gold medal of Asian Qualification Championships with three wins. This event was held on 16-17 April 2016 in Manila, Philippines.

Totally, 97 athletes from 38 countries participated in Asian Qualification Championships.

Kimia beat the representatives of Indonesia 19-0 after a rest. She could overcome Nepalese athlete 15-2 in her second match. In the final round, she pounded Thailand 3-2 and won the quota of the Olympic Games for Iran.

Minoo Maddah and Marhrou Komrani accompanied Iran National team as head coach and coach.

Farzan Ashourzadeh, Mahdi Khodabakhshi and Sajjad Mardani had already gained 3 Olympic quotas for Iran in the male category through Olympic ranking system.
