Iran National Para-Taekwondo Team Gained the Title of Asia
Iran Para-Taekwondo team gained the title of 2nd Asian Para-Taekwondo Championships in the male category by winning 7 medals.
This event was held on 18 April in Manila, Philippines.
All 7 representatives of Iran in this event could achieve medals. Saied Sadeghianpour, Mahmoud Jafarzadeh and Mahdi Pourrahnama bagged Gold medals for Iran. 3 Silver medals went to Ahmad Narimani, Sajjad Javanbakht and Mohsen Abdi, and Asghar Azizi succeeded in gaining a Bronze medal.
In the country standing of male and female categories, Russia claimed 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze medals. The second place and third places went to Iran and Mongolia respectively.
Iran National Par-Taekwondo team was led by Hossein Modanlou as head coach.
