Iran, Afghanistan and Russia Won 1st to 3rd Places
First, second and third standings of 27th Fajr Open went to Iran, Afghanistan and Russia respectively.
This G-1 event, that was held on 6-8 May 2016 in Tehran, brought representatives of Iran, Armenia, Brazil, India, Iraq, Libya, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Afghanistan together.
Iran succeeded in claiming the title of 27th Fajr Open with 3 Gold, 2 Silver, 4 Bronze medals and 42 points. The second place went to Afghanistan with 1 Silver, 2 Bronze medals and 16 points. Russia stood on the third podium with 1 Gold medal and 12 points.
Armenia, Turkey, Libya, Iraq, Brazil, India and Azerbaijan achieved 4th to 10th places respectively.

-58 kg: 1. Mohammad Kazemi from Iran 2. Vahid Alami from Afghanistan 3. Yusef Shriha from Libya 3. Hadi Tiranvalipour from Iran
-68 kg: 1. Seyed Hossein Ehsani from Iran 2. Surgey Avanesov from Armenia 3. Soroush Ahmadi from Iran 3. Davoud Yarmohammadi from Afghanistan
-80 kg: 1. Arutiun Meliksetiants from Russia 2. Amirhosein Sasan from Iran 3. Vahid Isabeiglou from Iran 3. Pouria Erfanian from Iran
+80 kg: 1. Farshad Ghiasi from Iran 2. Siavash Fakhraei from Iran 3. Bugrahan Karakas from Turkey 4. Mostafa Nazeri from Afghanistan
At the end of this Tournament, Armenia received trophy of Fair Play team. Janmohammad Amiri from Afghanistan was selected as the Best Head of team. Feizollah Nafjam from Iran’s Sari Martyrs team was awarded as the Best Coach. Arutiun Meliksetiants from Russia won the title of the Best Athlete and Olovia Ortiz from Spain and Paul Timms from England received the trophy of the Best Referee.
