Farzan Ashourzadeh could not gain a Medal in the Olympic Games



Farzan Ashourzadeh lost his first match against the representative of Morocco in the Rio Olympic Games and lost the chance of gaining a medal.

Iran's representative in -58 kg was defeated by his Moroccan opponent 4-3.

Not only the 1st ranked athlete of -58 kg was omitted on the first day of Taekwondo competitions, but also the powerful representatives of Korea, Belgium and Japan could not have any achievement in this category.

Iran's Taekwondo has 4 delegates in the Olympic Games: Farzan Ashourzadeh, Kimia Alizadeh, Mahdi Khodabakhshi and Sajjad Mardani.
