Mahdi Khodabakhshi was dropped out of the Olympic Games
Mahdi Khodabakhshi, 1st ranked athlete of -80 kg, was dropped out of the Olympic Games after defeating against Milad Beigi,the representative of Azerbaijan.
Mahdi could overcome the representative of Honduras 13-1 in his first match but in his second match he lost 17-5 and could not proceed to the medal events.
Iran has four athletes in the Taekwondo Competitions of the Olympic Games: Farzan Ashourzadeh, Kimia Alizadeh, Mahdi Khodabakhshi and Sajjad Mardani. So far, Kimia Alizadeh has succeeded in winning a Bronze medal for Iran.
