The President of Iran Taekwondo Federation, Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar, paid a visit to the Taekwondo Humanitarian Project in Tehran.

Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation of Iran was established by Shima Babapour, Director of International Affairs of Iran Taekwondo Federation, after returning from the United Nations Youth Leadership Camp, held in Japan in 2014. This Foundation is focused on providing free Training and Sport Equipments for the children and teens from poor families, orphans, child laborers and Afghan refugees.

The project visited by Seyed Mohammad Pouladgar and Shima Babapour is a Taekwondo class held for 50 girls and boys who are under the protection of a Charitable Institute in South Tehran. The venue, where the classes are held 3 times a week, is provided by Tehran Municipality and the coach of the class, Zahra Azarvand, is training the students voluntarily. The equipments of the class are borne by Iran Taekwondo Federation.

Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation of Iran has run several projects in Tehran so far and is trying to expand free Sport Education in other cities of Iran in order to contribute to the development of sport and eradication of poverty and crime.
