Grand Slam Bronze Medal was achieved by IRI TKD Athlete
Tehran Jan 2018—"Sajjad Mardani" - + 80 kg IRI TKD athlete- achieved bronze medal in Grand Slam event.
After 2 victories VS athletes From Korea and Azerbaijan, "Sajjad Mardani" lost to Russian athlete in a close competition in golden point time and stood on the third place and got bronze medal.
Contest time of Grand slam series is as follow: All contests for women: 2 minutes x 3 rounds with 1 minute break ii. All contests for men before semi-final: 2 minutes x 3 rounds with 1 minute break .All contests for men from semi-final: 2 minutes x 5 rounds with 1 minute break.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 athletes in the respective weight category of the pertinent competition: 1st place (1): gold medal & $ 70,000 Athlete: $ 49,000 Coach: $ 21,000 2nd place (1): silver medal & $ 20,000 Athlete: $ 14,000 Coach: $ 6,000 3rd place (1): bronze medal & $ 5,000 Athlete: $ 3,500 Coach: $ 1,500.
