Kazan welcomes WTE European Taekwondo Championships 2018
Feb 2018—according to WTE website, the city of Kazan is the eighth-largest town in Russia with ambitions in becoming a global capital of world sporting events.
During the dates May 10th -13th 2018 will be also the host city of the 23rd edition of the top-tier WTE event and will welcome the elite of European taekwondo.
It is worth pointing out that the 2012 European Qualification Tournament for London Olympic Games was also held at the relevant venue.
The traditional Russian Muslim city has recently hosted also a number of mega sporting events, among others, championships in fencing, judo, aquatics and will also be the host of the FIFA World Cup 2018.
Also, several Olympic-standard venues have already been built, setting the city of Kazan as the ideal sports ambassador city of Europe.
