Taekwondo Development Project
Great Britain is a world leading nation in Olympic Taekwondo, with a number of successful role model athletes competing at the highest level.
London has recently secured the rights to host an edition of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix, featuring only the highest ranked athletes from around the globe in a showpiece event at the Olympic Park in October 2017.
This project, spanning approximately a 12-month period, before, during and after the event, is looking to partner with a number of public service providers and WTF Taekwondo coaches to:
• Promote Taekwondo and participation in sport
• Create informal and accessible opportunities for local clubs
• Encourage younger people into sport
• Grow Female Participation in Taekwondo
