"Gusah Alonso Tapia" joins the Coaching Panel of France
July 2018-- Gulsah Alonso Tapia joins the group of national coaches in place. Armed with an experience of ten years as a coach at a very high level, it is in France.
French Taekwondo Federation believe that she will now transmit her knowledge and know-how to French athletes. The 2015 Coach of the Year Award was won by Gulsah Alonso of Egypt, who mentioned “the most important man” in her life, her husband, in her acceptance speech. The award was presented by Honorary IOC Member Melitón Sanchez Rivas of Panama and Oceania Taekwondo Union President John Kotsifas.
Alonso stated that: "In countries where I worked (Guatemala, Mexico and Egypt), I always gave 100% I have great confidence in this team and here I will continue to do the same.
Many teams are coached entirely by men and as a coach, I believe that the arrival of a qualified woman on the team can be an asset for a better understanding between female athletes and technical coaching.
She added : "I join the technical staff with great enthusiasm and desire to work to help raise the level of the national team".
