Mahdavi and Bahari; In gathering of 50 Top International Taekwondo
referees
The World Taekwondo Federation has voted to include two Iranian International Taekwondo referees, Hafez Mahdavi and Abdolreza Bahari, among its top 50 international referees.
According to the Public Relations department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation, the WT Referee Committee hosted a training camp with the participation of 140 International referees from all over the world on May 27-29, 2019.
The referees passed the technical, physical and medical test courses in the three-day camp.
Among the 140 international referees who participated in the camp were Iran’s Hafez Mahdavi, Shahram Arbabi, Abdolreza Bahari, Ali Bavaqar and Seyyedeh Marjan Taheri, all invited by the World Taekwondo.
Mahdavi and Bahari then secured places among the top 50 international referees.
The selected referees will arbitrate upcoming events and might secure Paralympics quotas. Having their abilities established, they would then be among the top 30 referees to participate in 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
