Head of WTF Referee Committee: Iran has proved its Power in Taekwondo to the World

The 93rd International Kyorugi Referee Seminar and the 107th International Kyorugi Referee Refresher Course brought 236 male and female referees to Tehran from Austria, Australia, Malaysia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Oman, Iraq, Syria and Iran together. This course was held under the supervision of Chakir Chelbat, the Head of WTF Referee Committee, and Eil Chul Kim, the Head of WTF Education Committee.

After the event was held, Chakir Chelbat, said, ‘I appreciate Iran Taekwondo Federation for contribution to improving the technical level of our sport by hosting educational courses. Considering the fact that Iranian referees have an active role in the international events, holding this course in Iran was highly important.’
He added,’ the judgment of Taekwondo in the London and Rio Olympic Games was very fair and transparent. Dr. Choue invited 30 coaches after the Rio Olympic Games to share their ideas to make Taekwondo more attractive for spectators.’
Chelbat said,’ I instructed in this course personally to ensure the harmony in the education of all international referees who are going to judge in the 2017 events. Iran has gained a big empire in Taekwondo with its achievements and could provide international events with strong referees. Sharham Arbabi and Hafez Mahdavi are two examples that showed their abilities in the London and Rio Olympic Games.’
