Selected Team of France for Euro -21 years & Senior World Championship



The National team technical committee met to select the athletes for the European Championships -21 and to prepare a pre-selection for the Senior World Championships.

The results of the German Open and the French -21 allowed the technical committee to retain 12 athletes in both male and female categories each one 6 athletes to take part in the next European Championship.

At the end of the first stage of the selection process, the selection committee has determined a pre-selection based on the results of the 2016 European Senior Championships, the 2016 Olympic Games, of the German Open and the 2017 Senior France championships, 4 female weigh categories and 1 male weigh category were selected, still 4 weights in female and 7 weights in male categories remaining.

Athletes who are "not selected" in these categories in this first stage will be able to complete the pre-selection if they demonstrate their ability to perform at the Spanish Open or at the European Championships -21 years. The technical committee will meet in early April to endorse the final list of athletes who will represent our team at the Senior World Championships.
