To compete in the 30th edition of Summer Universiade;
Iran's Taekwondo Squad flies to Italy
According to the public Relation's department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation, Iran's squad, made up of 16 athletes, will fly to Naples, Italy on Thursday, July 4, 2019, at 2:50 a.m.
Iran's male kyorugi lineup includes: Armin Hadipour(M-58kg), Soroush Ahmadi(M-63kg), Mirhashem Hosseini(M-68kg), Amir Mohammad Bakhshi(M-74kg), Mehran Barkhordari(M-80kg) and Erfan Nazemi(M-87kg).
Ahmadi, Nazemi, Hosseini and Bakhshi are in the Team division.
The team is led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh as the coach.
Iran's Female kyorugi lineup includes: Nahid Kiani(-53kg), Zahra Sheidaei(-57kg), Parisa Javadi(-62kg) and Melika Mirhosseini(-73kg).
The female team is led by Mahroo komrani as the head coach.
Kourosh Bakhtyar, Amir Reza Mehraban and Ali Sohrabi are in the poomsae lineup. Bahktyar is in the individual division and Mehraban, Bakhtyar and Sohrabi, are in the three-handed team.
Hosein Ali Nazari is the male poomsae team head coach.
Female poomsae lineup includes: Marjan Salahshoori, Fateme Hesam and Marjan Taji Rostamabadi. Hesam performs in individual division.
The female poomsae team is led by Mahsa Mardani as the head coach.
The 30th Summer Universiade officially gets underway on July 3rd with an official opening ceremony and runs until July 14th.
