Iran’s Bakhtiar and Hesam gain Bronze medals in 30th edition of
Summer Universiade 2019
During the world’s largest multisport event for university athletes is underway in Naples, Italy, which is slated to run until 14 July, Iranian athletes Kourosh Bakhtyar (male individual poomsae) and Fatemeh Hesam (female individual poomsae) grabbed bronze medals and stood on the third place, according to the Public Relation's department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation.
Some 6000 student athletes from 127 countries are participating in the Summer Universiade 2019.
In the men's event, Wanjin Kang from South Korea (7.950) stood first. The second place was taken by Edward H Jeong(7.500) from USA and the third place was shared by Iranian Kourosh Bakhtiyar(7.310) and Mexican Leonardo Juarez Rodriguez(7.120).
Hosein Ali Nazari is the male poomsae team head coach.
The result of the Individual Poomsae in the women's division is as follows:
American Adalis J Muno(7.067) took gold, Chia En Su(6.990) from Chines Taipei grabbed silver and Korean Jihye Yun(6.920) and Iranian Fateme Hesam (6.910) gained bronze.
