Iran's Taekwondo squad fly to Chiba
The second round of the grand prix 2019, will begin in Japan and Iran's squad, made up of 6 athletes, flied to Chiba, Japan, on Monday, September 9, 2019, at 23:40 p. m.
According to the Public Relation's Department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation, Iran's lineup includes: Armin Hadipour (M-58kg), Farzan Ashoorzadeh (M-58kg), Mirhashem Hosseini (M-68kg), Soroush Ahmadi (M-68kg), Sajjad Mardani (M+80kg) and Saeed Rajabi (M+80kg).
A three day tournament taking place in Chiba on 13th _15th September and 256 athletes will participate and compete to get valid point for access to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The Team is led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh as the coach.
This tournament is a G4 one and the gold, silver and bronze medal winners will garnish 40, 24, and 14.4 points, respectively and would also collect cash prizes of $5000, $3000 and $1000 in turn.
