During the second day of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Chiba;
Sajjad Mardani, satisfy with bronze and stand third
The second round of Grand Prix Taekwondo competitions in 2019, was held in Chiba, Japan, on 13th _15th September, and Iranian Taekwondo athlete, Sajjad Mardani had to be satisfied with bronze.
According to the Public Relation's department of the Iranian Taekwondo federation, The 2nd round of Grand Prix was a three day tournament which took place in Chiba with participation of 256 athletes and the iconic captain of Iran's taekwondo team, Sajjad Mardani, In the semi-final, faced Kyo-don In of Korea( 5_4 ), and came back home with a bronze medal.
Nearly 256 athletes from all over the world were participated in this tournament and the event helped participants collect points to qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Team is led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh as the coach. This tournament is a G4 one and the gold, silver and bronze medal winners garnish 40, 24, and 14.4 points, respectively and also collect cash prizes of $5000, $3000 and $1000 in turn.
