Iranian taekwondo Squad Grab 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 3 Bronze
The 2019 Serbia open tournament concluded yesterday in Belgrade, and Iran taekwondo Squad stood second place.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Iranian Taekwondo Federation, the 2019 Galeb Belgrade Trophy -Serbia Open was held on 26_27 October in Belgrade, Aleksandar Nikolic Hall, and Iran finished in second place with 20 points, bagging two gold medals, one silver and three bronzes. Soroush Ahmadi and Mirhashem Hoseini won two outstanding gold medals at the -68kg and -74kg, respectively. Armin Hadipour claimed a silver at the -58kg. In addition, Farzan Ashourzadeh (-63kg), Sajjad Mardani (+87) and Saeed Rajabi (+87kg) achieved three worthy bronze medals. The 2-day event was held with participating of 285 athletes and at the end, Mexico conquered competition with 24 points, winning three gold medals and one silver. Whilst Australia came third with 14 points with two gold medals. Iran's male kyorugi lineup was led by Fariborz Askari as the head coach and Ali Mohammad Boshagh and Vahid Abdollahi as the coaches. The tournament was G1 and the gold, silver and bronze medal winners garnished 10, 6 and 3.60 points
